Hello I'm new to the site like to say hi to all.
Very nice fourm u have setup here, love the updates.
there seems to be two diffrent exe's being used for updates.
One being called ff7_1.02 Patch update works fine with Ficedula's sound and patch updates. with this exe I get grid affect with green lines using TNT when using FSAA and bad font.
[The_SaiNt]_High_Res_FF7PC Doesn't not work with this exe for me.
when I use the riva_TNT Patch update Ficedula's patch updates dont work.
[The_SaiNt]_High_Res_FF7PC works fine with this exe. When using the TNT I can set FSAA to high without the Grid affect with green lines and the font is nice a clean.
If someone could tell me how to get Ficedula's to work with the riva_TNT Patch exe that be great.
Cheers, scotty

I don't know exactly what it is you are wanting to do.. but, I can offer a little bit of help.
First, you need a clean install. Got it? Good.
Next, install the 1.02 patch. Okay? Next step.
Now, if you want the Hi-Res patch, this is the place to put it in. Nothing else can be applied between 1.02 and the Hi-Res patch, or else it won't work.
Now, after the Hi-Res patch is installed, try using the other patches, and see if it still isn't working for you.

Ok maybe I'm Just a Dumb ass Got it?.
I see there are 2 exe's one being Named ff7_1.02 the other being riva_TNT. Okay Next step.
Now are these both ment to be 1.02 ?
Ok now I'll go bash me head agaisnt a brickwall , might ease the pain some.

I don't have a riva_TNT anywhere in anything I have...
And, I wasn't trying to be facetious..

Its the name of the zip folder the exe is packed in one is "riva_TNT" found on this forum under Patches as the The official FF7 Patch.
Then there's one called "ff7_1.02" found at
http://aaronserv.dyndns.org/hosting/ffsf/patch.html
This url was in the readme.
Note: If this patching procedure does not work, it may be a problem with your ff7.exe file.
Not to worry, because you can easily get the correct one at FFSF's website. It is version 1.02, designed to fix certain problems with newer video cards, and is required for you to patch
the game and use ff7music correctly. You can get it here:
http://aaronserv.dyndns.org/hosting/ffsf/patch.html.
this exe all is sweet under TNT settings with FSAA on. "riva_TNT" zip folder.
this exe all is gridlines and bad font under TNT settings when FSAA is on. "ff7_1.02" zip folder.

*looks at http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=4351 *
Hmm... I see. It is riva_TNT.... hrmm.. the one I have is just "ff7_102.zip" Inside of it is "ff7.exe" and "FF7Config.exe".. all I did with those was just overwrite the existing ff7.exe and ff7config.exe.. and it's patched..
http://zero.gzanime.net/FF7/ff7_102.zip
There it is if you want it.

I'm speechless, -_- , omg talk about noobies nuts :erm:
Come to tell people I'm getting diffrent results with two exe's, and I get noobies nuts.
I giveup LOL .

You should only be using the FFVII V1.02 patch.
Turn down ALL forced anti aliasing in graphics card settings.

No comment ..... :z

Can you paste a direct link to "riva_TNT" patch?

Scotty, I think there is no way to use the music patch and Saint's one at once. At least so it happend with eralier versions. Maybe Saint fixed it somehow recently.
By the way, there is no way to use FSAA correctly without using the higher resolution patch.
EDIT: Whooops... looks like I was wrong about the incompatibility of both patches :-P.

Whats your problem buddy, Were trying to help you.
From what I know, to get rid of gridlines, turn Anti aliasing to Application Preference.
And you should only be using version 1.02 Executable file.
-
okie all sorted, not sure what I did to cause the two exe to work diffrently lol but I did , "Must of had too many Noobies Nuts"
Thanks Borde for pointing that out, ya right there is no way to use FSAA correctly without using the higher resolution patch.
I'll leave the sound as is for now lol.. otherwise I might find me monitor on the front lawrn

Maybe the multipatch would allow you to run in hi-res and use the music patch at same time
