Title: Infinite Loop?

I dont know why but for some reason when Cloud is retelling his story of him going to Nibelheim with Sephiroth, the first monster encounted Sephiroth misses all his attacks?!?! And then Cloud keeps getting revived and killed!  Is there something I can play around with to fix this issue?
