Ok.. heres my whole story
i have my ff7 discs but then they were getting scratched so i went through the process of ripping them to my comp
the thing is.. ff7 never crashed and now ff7 crashes now.. why is that?
(will i have to go out and buy a new ff7)?

well.. i dunno
last time i played was on windows ME

and i just read the topic about the animevamp hoax patch.. so i uninstalled that and installed just the chocobo patch from a site.
i havent retreid playing but when i have.. i'll tell you guys.

ok.. it did the same part in the crashing.. the area where you open the doors after you meet barret(naming him)
i luckily had a save from my previous install so i used that to put in the save slot.. it worked fine until i go to the part meetin gshinra president.. then it froze.. then exited me out..
can anyone help?
i think its just random glitches.. and i need that XP patch i think.. so if anyone has that can you give me a link for it? thanks.

You can try enabling "Windows 98/Me" compatibility mode for ff7.exe.

alrite did that.. did everything i knew of.. and same parts..
what im thinking the problem is.. is because the cd i had it was so scratched bad.. that the computer may not have read all the data or w/e and when i ripped it onto my computer.. the files were not all complete.. this may be why im having freezes.
i plan to do this:
a. d/l the cds off the interent.. see if they freeze too
or b. buy a new game cd
if they freeze while playing.. i think its just my comp then?
iono.. i have decent graphic card, memoroy: 512mb, 3.0 ht pentium and yeah :-x
thanks for all the help you guys given me.
