I wanted to write Final Fantasy VII to a DVD and play it from a DVD, but as you know, you can't write saves to DVD(durr). I was wondering if someone could make me a mod to edit where FF7 saves and loads to. Can't be too hard can it
Thanks loads

You said you're using a downloaded copy of the game (in another thread (http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=4704)).
No support for you.

I have an official copy too.

I have an official copy too.
...and a credibility problem on top of that.

Are you gonna help me or not, or can you tell me how to help myself, all I need to do is change /save to user difined.
Sorry for rudeness :-?
<Two warnings, cheese this forums tight.

Well if you have an official copy of the game and want to modify or burn to dvd or whatever I dont see what is the problem for people to help you.
I just think people dont believe that you have an official copy of the game. If I knew how to help you I would because I'm a nice guy.

Im afraid that would mean patching the game's exe.
unless there is a registry key which shows the patch FF7.exe is installed too?

Have you looked into the registry ?
I'd say that in the registry is a path to the game directory, and FF7 is putting the savegames to the "game-directory/SAVE" ... so I'd say that you have to set this somewhere to writable disc, what means that you have to copy the files there too... so in my opinion it won't go without installation.
