Title: IS THIS A BUG?

hi all, i have been playing ff7 for quite some time and i have heard that to gain a level 2 limit break, i will have to finish off 80 monster with that particuclar char, and i am already level 64 buy yet to gain the lvl 2 limit break..is this a bug?

uuhhmm..

check under "limit" in the menu.  You may have already gotten it, but never saw your character get it, and you ahve to SET the character to use that limit (Tifa is an exception. i beleive)

Umm... what do you mean by level 2?

The beginning limit of each section is controlled by the number of kills/finishing blows, for the character. And the second limit of each section is controlled by X (8?, 12?, 14?) number of times that you use the first Limit.

(I think.)


Except for level 4...that one is gotten with an item....and I think it only has one. But...I don't really remember.

Limit Breaks have 4 levels.  If you press the menu button in-game and choose Limit, you can activate the 2nd or 3rd level.

Is it that you have to defeat 80 enemies?  I thought your limit level increased depending on the number of times you used the limit break attack, so just defeating an enemy without using a limit break on them would make no difference.  Maybe I'm wrong.
