Support Ati cards good? I just bought a amd 54 3500+ processor that has an ati raedon 200 express card in it. How well will it run final fantasy VII pc, I have never used an ati card... So, I don't know if this game only supports tnt/nvidia card. What this means is will I be able to play the high resolution patch with ati cards or is it only for tnt/nvidia cards?

It works fine for me on my ATI Radeon 9800pro. Use Nvidia TNT mode though.

AMD 54? Damn man, you're behind the times! the 64 is all the rage these days!
And I think the high-res patch supports radeons, and even allows AA, so, you're probably good there =)
However, i don't know about ff7's compatability with a 64-bit chip or 64-bit-based operating system... test it and find out for us!

Works fine on my AMD64 3800+ X2 with Radeon 9800 Pro. I forget which patches I applied, but it should work fine with the regular XP/Chocobo patches.
I heard of a patch for 64-bit, but I never got up to the point where I needed to use it yet. No problems encountered so far.

It should work fine with a 64 bit CPU, but does it work in a 64 bit OS?

This game plays great with the Hi-Res patch on my machine:
AMD Mobile Athlon 64 3700+ / 6800GT Windows XP Pro.
The Hi Res patch will allow FSAA and Windows XP seems to play pretty nice with this old game as long as you play with the compatibility modes under the properties for the FF7.exe
