Title: FFVII intro screen

Hi, I've just installed final fantasy vii on my pc and everything went smoothly until i loaded up the game and the 'new game...continue' screen comes up, i choose 'new game'  and then the screen just goes black, nothing happens at all.

Any suggestions on what the problem is?

Can you post your pc specs? Including Graphics Card please?

Start > Run: dxdiag should tell you your gfx card specs :)

Search for the "upside-down patch" in The Great FF7 FAQ (http://forums.qhimm.com/viewtopic.php?t=2670). Sometimes, it requires uninstalling other codecs on your machine (you can install them later).

Don't really know what specs are you wanted or if i'm posting the right things but:

Operating system: XP, Processor: Intel Celeron CPU 2.30GHz, Memory: 245MB RAM, Display device: Intel 82845G graphics controller.
