Title: Lines through FF8

Ok, So ive owned FF8 forever, And it has never done this to me before.


I just reinstalled it and there are lines through it.

not on the world map or in battles though.  But like.. In balamb garden and in the opening chat where you say your name and the doc gets quistis.


I will get a screenshot later as You cant Alt and tab out of FF8.


edit.. stupid me didnt give pc stats

Athlon(tm) XP2800+
2.12ghz
704 MB RAM
RADEON IGP 320M  Video card with 64MB memory

Oh yeah, i encountered this. it  has something to do with the graphics card.

try googling for "FF8 patch", you might find a link to files "FF8SqeaPatch.zip" (something like that). there are 2 patches, so choose the one for RADEON, since your graphics card is from this company.

Screen shots are making me want to play this again.

** shoots myself in the foot for lending the game to someone i'll never see again :(

i had this problem on FF7, i went to config and changed the renderer to software renderer, and it seemed to fix it. I know thats FF7, but FF8 may have similar settings? Anyway, just trying to help... :D

DOnt see it.


My card doesnt seem to support the 8 bit textures O_o   Hate that... I will google the patch.

Use riva tuner, if its still updated. Thats what i used on mine to enable 8 bit texture support
