Title: 2 Problems
Post by: DakotaXS on 2006-01-20 18:45:46
1. I was encountering slow FMW's so I modified the entry in the registry, so that the movies are read off of my Hard Disk (where I copied them off the CD). However the movies are now even slower or as slow as before! What could be the problem?

2. Using Ficedula's FF7Music, I replaced all the MIDIs with the .psf's off of the  PSX game, for the import plugin I used in_psf.dll, and for the export plugin I used out_ds.dll (I also tried out_wave.dll, but it didn't work), but I still get the normal MIDI tracks, what could I be missing? I could send someone my .ini file, and you could check it out...

Thanks!

MOD EDIT: Removed double-post. Nudging topics won't get you a helpful reply any faster.

Maybe your computer really sucks. Mines does that randomly, but not too often for me to care about. Can you name your computer specs? Are all the movies slow? If you don't care about the movies and if the are not all slow then why don't you just rename them from the fast ones so that they don't bother you? And is it just the movies or is it also the gameplay?

I have:

200GB HD
1GB RAM
nVidia 6800 GTO
SoundBlaster Audigy 2
3.72Ghz Intel Extereme Edition Processor

Doesn't really suck... :P

The opening sequence is REALLY slow, but I also tried the sequence where the walkway collapses after you beat AirBuster, that wasn't too bad, but still quite noticeable.

Ah its probably a driver problem or CD problem. Wipe your CD a bit, update your drivers, and did you install the codac with the installation? Mines is much worst than yours, with:
CPU:447 MHz
RAM size:383.53 MB
Memory:12GIGS
