Title: FF7music - can't force the program to start mp3s
Post by: Winter on 2006-02-19 13:24:48
Hi,

I wanted to use FF7 MP3 Soundtrack instead of midi files. Unfortunately, I've selected all the tracks in the program configuration, but the game won't let me play the tracks - it's just quiet.

I'm using input device as in_mp3.dll and out_ds.dll as output device. I've muted midi.

So, what's wrong?

Well, you started 2 identical topics, that is a problem.
You volume might not be high enough to your liking, or you have a shitty sound system. Has this ever happened to other sound using programs?

use out_wave.dll

Also, in your windows volume control, make sure that "wave" is set to maximum =)

Identical problems?
Well, I only hear midi which are included in the program, but the mp3s tracks aren't played :/

What version are you using?

It's the newest one from ficedula's page.

I'm sure I have good configured ini file. I have SoundStorm as my sound device and have set it in FF7 configuration program, didn't mute MIDI and ran the game, but I still get music from MIDIs, not from MP3s. I'm using input plugin from Winamp (in_mp3).

What the hell is wrong?

Strange, I can hear mute excluded midi from the program configuration, even if midi are muted in sound device manager, but still no mp3 are played (the program sees 92 tracks, so it's not the problem). I'm using in_mp3.dll and out_wave.dll from Winamp.

Any advice?
