Title: I am having one hell of a time trying to figure this out

I'm having trouble trying to use jenova and the other save game editor.  jenova keeps crashing on me when I try to apply the settings, and the save game editor can't find my saved file.  I direct it to C:\Program Files\Final Fantasy VII\save, and  the save  file does not show up.  I would appreciate some help.

A bit more information would be helpful:

When exactly does it crash?
Does it display any dialog boxes?
etc...

with the jenova, after I start it up it looks all screwy.under the party tab it shows the wrong information.  All three of the party members are cloud.it shows zero hit points, MP, etc..  When I click the materia tab it crashes.  With the character editor my saves don't even show up when I go to my save file. I am running the 1.02 patch. Sorry for getting back to you so late.

Try double-clicking to open a save instead of hitting "Load".  This is a known bug.  Dunno WHY it happens or why Qhimm never fixed it, but, mweh.  Seems to happen more to a file that's already been edited a few times... *shrugs*

So just double-click to open, and for the love of god, if you do hit "load" close it immediatly DON'T save the file!

I try double-clicking, but that did not work.  Thanks anyway.
