Title: Monster Hunter
Post by: Kislinskiy on 2006-03-11 06:02:15
The last weeks I reversed the Monster Hunter 3D file format in my leisure. This night I finally wrote a converter. I sadly had no time to reverse bone and animation data. Maybe the next vacation, who knows...  :)

Hah, all the "old school" hackers here are already starting to reminisce about the good old days. All that's missing now is a rocking chair and complaining about your knee that always swells up when there's bad weather a'coming. :P

Uhm... no. That stupid coordinate system conversion and the bone hierarchy handling (the rotations) that results from it gave me the rest for the time being (I used DirectX).  :isee:

That's awesome man! Some of my coworkers have just started playing Monster Hunter and would really like to take a look at some of the meshes from the game. Is this a maya plugin that you have made, or is this a file converter that is not platform specific?
