Hey,
I stumbled back over the site there a few minutes ago and I seen a bug on a submarine so I decided to post...
Back to the point. I've noticed that in the FMV "Weapons Awakening" at exactly 52 seconds you see Aeris rising up from the crater before the Weapons. I made a post like this before a few months ago elsewhere but it kind of idled...
*TEMPORARY* file available to view this at http://www.mixu.org/weapons.mpeg
I'm very eager to see this FMV in a higher res :)
(PS - I'm aware of Qhimm's rules on warez and illegal file dist' and I appologise immediately if I'm causing discomfort amongst the admins with the enclosed url)

Dude, your link doesn't work. So really, there's nothing for the admins to complain about.

works fine from here.
I've also uploaded a zip file with 28 .tga screenshots of the scene.

Hmm... it certainly does look like Aeris, can someone take some shots from the FF7PC fmv?
-
a dead Aeris as big as a Weapon ? :?
First you see Sapphire and Diamond inside the crater. Then outside there's Ultimate Weapon (and the Highwind) before she "takes off". Finally you see the 4 remaining that are still in the crater rising up : Sapphire, Diamond, Emerald and Ruby.
I really think the Aeris you're seeing is Sapphire Weapon.

its a weapon, i can see how you see it as aeris (the red and pink colours in there)
but its a weapon.
-
I don't think it is. I've examined other parts of the mpeg and can account for the FIVE Weapons. I've enclosed screenshots too :)
Diamond Weapon

Ultima

Emerald

Ruby

Take a close look at the next two images, look at the difference in the shape of the body - it's way to thin/feminine :P to be a weapon

It's difficult for me to prove it with such poor resolutions but the more I look at it the more I'm convinced that I'm right.

The Sapphire screenshot is in fact Diamond, notice the large "shoulders" and the color. You have to remember that each Weapon has its own color.
You should compare your "Aeris" screenshot with the Junon Raid video where you can see Sapphire more closely. It matchs really well.

i just looked at the avi fromt he pc version its WEAPON not Aeris
-
Yeah it's not Aeris.
It's a weapon for sure.

It could be Aeris, but even if it is, it would only be a small easter egg that Squaresoft included.
