All right, well, first off, I can run, play, whatever, with this game relatively simply.

I recently convinced a friend of mine to get this game, and he did, got it setup and everything, but he's experiencing that grid-line problem! You know, where it looks like there's a green grid all across the screen... He has 1.02 and he said he tried both the TNT and Riva boxes, but he said neither helped. He also said it only affected the field.

I know something's not making the connection between the game and his video card. He has a newer Dell with those integrated graphic chip sets, or whatever. I'm pretty sure that it's a Dell-provided video card, nothing special.

I distinctly recall having this problem when I first started playing, but I fixed it, but I don't remember how I did it! :-(

Bah. ANY HELP at all would be greatly appreciated!

Turn of FSAA, if your video card supports it. That usually helps.

Yeah, or go to software rendering? Works fine for me, I have a terrible graphics card and had the same problem as you.
