Just wondering if this is normal with FF7 MUSIC
1) When entering a new place the music will lag (e.g i'll have the submarine music in the highwind)
2) Music starts over, doesnt actually loop (e.g the battle music starts from the beginning once it has finished)
Is this normal or do i need to tweak the settings?

For the 1) I don't realy know because I didn't use FF7 Music but I know that since it use MP3 and not the original midi from the game it can't loop because the loop information are in the midi. I'm working on a project that will make the sounding of the midi better without touching changing the music files so the loops will works. For now it's still buggy if you don't have a good machine though. In fact I am the only one for now who managed to make this work. But I'm working to find a new program that will be faster.
But still here a link to my SFFS Project topic:

I too have been wondering about this, it is a tad on the annoying side. But if this works anything like how we manipulate the in game music in PSO, you should be able to assign a loop in winamp, though PSO uses .ogg files, but then again you should be able to then convert that winamp file to Midi or MP3 or whatever is used in the music program that replaces the midi.lgp.
Edit: just checked in winamp and if you have the right plugin you can play the PS1 music files and therefore if someone can find the exact value where it needs to loop it should be able to be edited and made to work, atleast I think it will.
Edit: Just tried it and it didn't work.

FF7music can play PSFS, and those do loop. However, I don't think mp3s have anything related to looping to specific point, or any looping at all (unless playing the mp3 again counts).
