Title: Info on FF7 PC Video
Post by: Leiw on 2006-06-24 12:10:25
For those who replaced their videos encoded with XviD codec or other custom settings and the videos are no playing back properly,
make sure you use the following options :

Resolution : 320x224 (AR:1.429)
Fps : 15
Interleave : 15ms
Keyframe : 1 Frame (-> every frame)
Fields : Full Frame
Request Data Rate : None
Still Optimize : On

(some of these options only exist in Adobe Premier)

I hope that was somehow useful to someone... >.>

Ewwwww. That pretty much defeats the purpose of recompressing them at all. :|

makes sense as they have to overly graphics on the video. The system needs to count frames for proper rendering.

The PSX MDEC had no concept of keyframes at all. Just decompressed little DCT blocks into 8x8 squares.

Hmmm interesting.  I suspect they had some sort of 'keyframe' event they used to trigger each frame sync.

Let's be sure not to do something so inane for Q-gears. :D
