Right, I've come across this small annoyance. Dunno if there's an option for it or not, but I haven't been able to find one.
Take a look at this picture: My Visual C++ projects folder (http://qhimm.3dstream.net/winxp.gif).
See anything wrong with it? Indeed, the folders are slightly out of order. Take the two folders "FF9Viewer" and "FF73D". WinXP apparently sees "FF73" and considers it as greater than "FF9", since 73 indeed is greater than 9. Annoying as hell though, and it's messing up my view of things completely. Anyone know any way to revert to the old sorting algorithm found in ...well, any other OS?

Yeah! I can see how thats annoying.
!PSX! sounds interesting..care to elaborate???

Holy Cow! That's what I call tons of source code... !!
As for the order thingy: Yep, that's crap.
As for TTG: How 'bout releasing the source code? (if you're not workin' on it?)

Try adding a space between FF7 and 3D. That'll fix it up, no questions.

I don't want to add spaces, I want the sorting algorithm to work as it's supposed to!!

I'm quite sure there has got to be function that makes this order work like on Win9x/ME/NT/2K ... but don't ask me where...

if not, try going to one of those windows-tweaking websites.

um... they might have changed it.. like they just felt like changing the style again as far as the folder views go.. sometimes i think we all have to bend a little or just not use the os .. or tweak it.. no.. tweak the hell out of it.. but eh.. wouldnt that be going kind of deep beyond the usual tweaking.. i mean wouldnt that involve more than just a simple registry command.. maybe?
