Title: Wireless Cable Router - NTL Compatible - Suggestions?
Post by: Skillster/RedSarg99 on 2006-08-11 20:26:33
Hi, I am finally getting a NTL line (need to move my PC/network etc), But I am so used to using ADSL I am not overly confident about getting Cable Wifi Routers that would work with NTL.
Any suggestions to what you feel are quality and realiable products that do the job for you?

Thanks

I'm on NTL cable and I use a Belkin 54g wireless router, which seems to do the trick. All you need is a similar type of wireless router which has a wan port and you should be fine.

I'm using an ASUS pocket router. It's quite nice. Although it doesnt double as a modem. So you'll need to keep the old one.

NTL is a cable service, so it doesn't use ADSL

I did in the end get a cheap W54G buffalo cabel router, see how it works.
NTL said the line outside needs replacing too, and I wont have service till at least 6th Sept!!!
