of ff7? I mean of course it'll take time, but if i were to do it, would my game mess up? or is it even possible to do it?

If for use in an PS1 emulator or the PS1 no or better put darn near impossible.  If using the PS1 media maybe in the future.

If you could get the script from the cds and recode it then burn it on to a disc.
Your ps1/2 would have to be able to play burnt discs
It would be hard, just play on the pc for now

Well I know a bit about the low level portion of the game, it's NO in simple terms because it's not worth the effort.  No one has a years worth of time for all that work, without any compensation ($75,000 US worth of work for no compensation is pretty much what you are describing) hence I said NO.  Further more the hardware is rather obsolete.  It's possible but not worth the effort.  Anything is possble, but at what price is the real question.  The best one could get is a result none too disimilar to FF9, and that would be ones best effort.  The PS1 hardhare had enough trouble with a HiRez Cloud at the end of the game (< 15fps).
