Hi. On the 2nd and 3rd movies of the game, my characters are being frozen, and not moving in relation to the movie. For instance, when the mako reactor goes, Cloud is still bent over Jessie, even as we see the scene from afar. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I am running:
Windows XP SP2
1.02 Patch
High-Res patch (currently, I have tried without)
AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB Ram, nVidia 6600 GT, Audigy 4
Maximum install
I have tried playing the movies from CD (rather image loaded in Alcohol, ripped today from CD), as well as playing the movies straight from the HDD.
I seem to think going back to older nVidia drivers might fix this, but I don't know of a stable version for FF7 (I won't be playing any other games for the next few weeks, guaranteed).
In addition, thanks to all who contribute on this site. It's been about 4 years since my last go around of FF7, and it's nice to see people are doing the best they can to improve it still!
EDIT: Downgraded to 71.89 drivers, same issue (http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h83/hiro38/moviebug.jpg)

Looks like it was a codec problem. I uninstalled 2 codec packs I had loaded in my system, and boom, everything is working fine.

Ehhh... codeccs cause things to blow up these days. It's too bad MS has such a bad way of handling media data in there systems.
"Yo if you think you can run this data do it!" method is kind of lame.
Sorry some codecs blew up on ya (pun intended from picture).
