Title: Steve Irwin rememberance.
Post by: Asdayasman13 on 2006-09-05 00:25:58
Now I don't know if you all knew, but good old Steve passed away recently.  He fell foul to a manta ray which brought on a heart attack.

I guess I feel most sorry for the kids.  8 and 2 years old.  How are they going to cope with their Father never coming home again?

*bows head*  We'll miss you, Steve...

I heard it was a stingray that dealt a fatal barb through his chest...

I think he lacked the heart to have a heart attack.

Either way, he was a darn nice guy. Not only did he entertain us, but he showed us animals we've never seen and taught us to respect them. He had more heart and bravery them most of us ever will, and I'm sure the world has lost a good one.

Aye, swam over a Sting-ray, which bolted, and stabbed him through that heart :/

Strewth!

Couple of "questionable" e-mails going round the office yesterday. One, a shot of the BBC News Studio's with a reporter interviewing Captain Scarlet and the headline "Stingray deny any involvment in Irwin death".. the other, a particular brand of sun-creme called "Irwins" with its slogan "Protecting you from harmful rays"! :|

I went to his zoo and witnessed all the great things he did for the animals over there. At the end of the day though you have to feel sorry for his family. It makes you think that if you have a family for their sake you just can't afford to take crazy risks.

Some people are sick: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/5338118.stm

How do they think they are honouring his death by going against everything he stood for?

OMFG, those people are sick.  [insert comparison].  They can't've been real fans.

Why not?

They could have been very avid fans, but, seemingly went the wrong way about mourning his death, by killing other stingrays.

But if they were avid fans, they would've fully understood his ideals.

Am I making sense?

Could be worse, what would have happened if he died from second-hand cigarette smoke? Chain smokers beware...

Some people can be heart-felt fans of another person while still maintaining anger-management issues.

Being a fan of someone doesn’t suddenly make all your personal issues (or non-issues) go away.

"Stingrays _love_ foreplay"

--  Mock the week.  (TV show on BBC2)

EDIT:  Dearie me, my memory sucks...

And if you'd "got" the pun on the title of the show, you'd realise it's Mock the Week.  :-P
