Great New Game! (http://technology.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,19509-2488931.html)
Now you too can brainwash masses and force conversions into the religion of your choice!
As long as the religion of your choice is Christianity, of course.
I personally take this entire game as satire, but some seem to actually be offended by it.

P. S.: If this post offended you, you probably shouldn’t have read it.

The thing is, this is a terrible excuse for a game, and in fact doesn't even really understand what Christianity is.

..... "Like seven." :|
Wow, is the whole game this poorly written?
-
Looks like its made by some int0rnet d0rk who cant get off his comp.
Is it any fun to play at all?
-
Looks like another lame attempt of a company trying to make a buck off religion to me, hope it fails miserably.

Some cheap ass propaganda abit like that American Army game (made by the army) to try and help increase the number of recruits they got.
-
Very cheap ass, at a mere $27 million (http://www.joystiq.com/2006/12/07/left-behind-games-ordained-with-big-huge-games-engine/).
Just in case you don't feel like reading the link, it talks about how Left Behind Games' acquired rights to Big Huge Games' RTS engine - of the Rise of Nations-fame. Probably not a very cheap deal, either.
-
Probably had no money left for QA

Except for the fact that AA is a pretty good game, especially for lan parties... only problem with it now is its now 2.7 gig to download.

(...) Let us pray that it's a better game. (...)
Oh hell...
As if GOD himself/herself/itself would come down from heaven to sit in front of a PC and write some code or write some more character descriptions as the one halkun posted above...
I personally *love* when people say things like "let's pray for this and that". Instead of sitting around and praying that things will get better, one should better move his/her/its ass and do something about it...
(Yeah, you guessed it - I'm atheist)

If I'd have to wager money on it, I'd say that the person who wrote the article is a non-theist too, or at least non-practicing theist.
...it's a pun, I'm fairly certain. :-)
After all, you'd be hard pressed to find a Joystiq-article - or post, since they are bloggers instead of journalists - that wouldn't be snarky in some way. :-)
That being said, yes, I agree that divine intervention to improve a game is rather unlikely. :-P

America's Army was fun! x.x
