Title: How do you spell "copyright" in Korean?
Post by: Jari on 2007-03-13 13:54:51
Hilarious (http://kotaku.com/gaming/final-fantasy-vii/clip-korean-video-ripsoff-ff-vii-243638.php).

It's a... parody? Would the director be so kind and demonstrate the part that is the parody, as I seem to be missing it. :-D

There is fair use and... I kinda think that this goes fairly far past fair use. :)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how Square's legal teams react to the wacky Koreans.

Oh, about the question I posed in the subject; methinks that the correct spelling is close to "lame".

PS. Bonus points to the person who can id the rather famous piece of classical music borrowed by the most original composer (this is no copyright infringement, as the rights are probably long gone, but kinda shows their originality). Because I can't remember where it's from. It's very familiar, and I remember that it's piece of something famous, but I don't remember what.

PPS. Can Koreans do anything right? Except copy other people (this video, their Mitsubishi-based cars) and play Starcraft?

Bing-Ho! Für Elise it is, someone mentioned it in Kotaku's comments as well. Between that as the only thing resembling melody in there, and all of the video being complete rip-off too, I bet that it was produced by Timbaland (http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/01/14/0113234&from=rss). The beats are probably from some old chiptune.

Win?

Hmmm... Well, I suppose I could mock and insult you real good? :-D

The video shows that there is hardly any originality left in the world, yet, combines something as high-brow as Beethoven's Fur Elise and Advent Children into a technopoppy extravaganza.

Hump! No no, bump, I mean!

Because now I know how you spell copyright in Korean, you do it like this (http://kotaku.com/gaming/notag/yuna-gets-her-hair-done-too-263960.php).

There naturally is the chance that they indeed have negotiated a deal with Squeenix... but I believe it when I see it.

PS. Can I crack a joke about them facials, pwease? :-D

Eh, I KNEW "für elise" must be "la lettre à élise" in French (means: Elise's letter) ... Strange Für Elise means For Elise... And I thought Elise was a Fench name.
I knew this piano "song" because a childhood friend used to "play" it on his piano ...
Anyways, I found this in youtube, for those who had a doubt.
