Interesting, eh?

Not really.
Squeenix' shit is running thin and I think sooner or later people are going to realise that countless spinoffs are not the way to go, and if they dont, they need to.

Actually I'm more intersted in this:

Having FF4 remade is a good thing on it's own. But I find more exciting the connotations of this act. Are they finally thinking seriously about remaking FF6? Hope so

Hope they heard our wishes of a FFVI remake for DS :-)

i don't have a problem with remakes as long as they just do it nicely like final fantasy anniversary on psp.
that is good stuff :)

Not really, FF1 on PSP was seriously watered down. I don't think I've ever played such an extremely easy game before. I checked a few FAQ's on the net saying some spell are 25000 on the BA version yet on PSP there only 16000 or something like that(haven't played it in a while). Not to mention how incredibly easy the bosses were I expect a challenge and in 2 or 3 hits from my knight he dies, it's quite a shame and blatantly obvious square is only out to make money. Lets hope the rest of there spin-offs and remakes aren't piles of crap either.

I specifically meant the game engine and graphics were done quite well, i havn't played it much yet nor did i play the original version.
They could have basically "emulated" the original, and that would be kind of crap.
-
Yeah the graphics are nice but when your working in sprites you think they would put a bit more into the gameplay
-
On FF1/2 they ported the wonder swan versions (with the nifty colors).
The others were more emulators specific to the FF4/5/6 with a few movies thrown in.
As for 'improving' the real improvements would change the game itself. This is a good way to introduce new bugs into a port isn't it?
Games of any kind take a lot of work to make.
