Looks like the ev files might not be for elevation after all.
It looks like a colouring kit.
This is what I got from my tests.
Note : These are all the same save game.

So the ev files color the chocobos? It makes sense... How else do you color a single model with multiple color schemes? Keep up the good work Saint!
