Title: FFVIII Installation problem

Hey everyone, so I've spent about 2 hours or so searching for the solution to no avail, but if I did miss it, I apologize.

Anyways,
I recently found my old FFVIII PC game and wanted to play it again. I tried to install, but the installation will not start. I tried manually clicking the setup.exe file from the CD but it won't work either. I also tried running it through command prompt but it won't work as well. Checking task manager, I had about 8 "Setup.exe" running but none of them could be seen.

Windows XP Pro SP2
Nvidia 7800GTX
Intel DualCore Processor @2.13GHZ

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Did they appear in the task bar?

So I finally got it to work, had to start windows in diagnostic mode. Thanks!
