I was doing a little web surfing out of boredom and found myself on the Eidos site. I came across a FAQ with a question about FF7 not working on XP.

They started off by saying "ff7 just won't work on xp" lol but they went on to talk about a patch that will help the game run better...... and they provide a direct link to animevamp's XP patch   :-o

last time I checked, this patch was horrible. is this still the case?

AFAIK, this patch has not really been changed since it was released.  So, yeah.

Elsewhere on the Eidos site (a little harder to find), I believe is still a direct link to the chocobo patch, hosted at www.qhimm.com.

well, thats good to know. But I don't know why they just didn't link the 1.02 patch
