Title: FFVII (PSX)
Post by: driz on 2007-09-21 12:44:41
I've been looking for information on this everywhere but to no avail. Basically I have the original 1997 version of Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation, and I really want to view the files, ie. look at the game backgrounds. etc. Is their a way of doing this? Does anyone have a program for decompiling the psx version?

thanks.x

Try to look in Tech-Related forum section, there is a lot information about FF7.
However you can always use Q-Gears sources :)

http://q-gears.sourceforge.net/
Look here, source code is available by SVN, you can download binary version for available features.

If what you want to do specifically is look at the field maps, I recommend 7mimic, downloadable from http://superacro.free.fr/FF7/Archives/RAR/ as 7mimic.rar.
