Title: FF8 Sound Fix doesn't replace all files...
Post by: ChorniyVolk on 2007-12-18 21:50:57
The one I downloaded from the sticky has 80 files, but my music folder in FF8 has 91, so that's 11 songs missing, which end up not working because of the dll file replacement. Any help?

Also, even using the normal sound files, the opening song, fithos something, is choppy and horrible. Any help? I'm using the configurator from the sticky, and I think EAX makes it worse, don't know what to change so it works.

New stuff, the configurator came with an ffaddon.dll file, which I've just kept in the main directory, where am I supposed to put it to use it in the music addons tab of the configurator?

Also when I minimize the window, the sound is much better. Turns out that the sound when open is extremely slowed down, and when minimized it speeds up to the normal rate, any help?

Oh and the sound is choppy/slow in fmvs only.

With all the problems, and from what I can see, not too many cool mods, maybe I should just get a psx emulator and play the ps1 version, it'll have the faster load times of the pc version right?

i think pc version works better on a pc in terms of loading times :]

but i prefer to play via emu anyway.

less graphical issues and you can save anywhere ;-)
