I'm willing to bet if you search for "final fantasy vii pc" on ebay there are more than a few for sale.

^^Haha, but yea you could also check out amazon if it's still there, there was a new copy for £14.99 assuming of course you're in the UK

Well at least he's looking for a legal copy, and maybe he is new to the intarn3ts.  Yeah eBay would be your best friend right now.  Most are around $50, but it's either unopened Platinum Edition or the original "triangle box".
