Title: Problems with laptop

I installed the 1.02 patch, the chocobo patch, and the tm20decSetup thing.  I'm running XP on a new Dell D620.  I downloaded the laptop patch as well and unzipped it and put it in the FF7 directory folder, but nothing happens.  It says it should ask to replace something but it doesn't.  When I start the game a black screen comes up till I hit enter, but then the arrow keys don't work (to let me choose New Game).

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

If nothing gets replaced when you paste it into the FF7 folder, then that means you're not putting it in the right place.  The whole point of that patch is most likely to overwrite some older file and replace it with a new one.  Make sure that the files are going where they need to. =)

Double check and make sure that the files are going to the correct directory.  Worst comes to worst you could always run a search using the names of the patch files and see if you can find where the original files are stored.
