Alright, I just got FF7 installed on my Window XP O/S. I came across this page that showed me step-by-step procedures on how to get this game working for the XP. The webpage was called "FINAL FANTASY VII PC - NEAT COMPILATION OF PATCHES AND MODS v1.2 by miracle.flame". After completeing this, I still notice movies was not working for me. It just goes to a blank screen. Luckly for YAMPs patch, I can just hit ctrl+S and it will skip the FMV. But, I still would like to have the movies play. I did install K-Lite Codec (disabling truemotion 1,2 in the ffdshow video config), and then installed the TrueMotion 2 Codec. Still no good. I also have my movies to be read from my HDD as well, and the file path is matched in the regedit to read from the movies folder as it should be. Anyone have any other suggestions for me?
I even tried uninstalling K-Lite Codec because I heard that really has no effect to it, but still to no avail.
FF7 Configurations: Primary Display Driver >> Direct 3D Hardware Acceleration >> 640 x 480 16bpp (Full Screen) >>> NVIDIA - TNT.
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Series

Oh, and another thing...I even tried launching the game in Windows 95 compatibility mode, but it didn't really had any effect either...

Try reinstalling the FF7. People usually mess up the movie path while trying to get the FMVs to work.

Oh believe me, I even tried that, and the movie path does match up to where it's suppose to read from...I made sure I copy and paste the entire adress into the regedit...

Can you post your new movie path here?

Yeah, you was right...It was my movie path, silly me...I just forgot the "\" at the end... :-o
