I've read the sticky on how to resolve the black screen but my problem still presits, when I try to enter the game it immediately gives me a black screen and I hear an error message... :-(
I've installed the US v1.02 patch and the tm20 VFM video filter, and tried all the combinations of rendering modes and resolutions but everything was to no avail. I tried to play the game videos with my windows media player but it doesn't work. I've also tried uninstalling and disabling my codec pack.
My computer specs are:
Windows xp sp2
Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz
Ati X800 pro
768 mb ram
Ace mega codecs pack
Does anyone please have any suggestions for me!?

Well there are alot of threads dealing with that problem so search for it at the top.
and maybe you should try to use the unaltered game since the v1.02 is what caused that problem for me

Thanks for the help but I managed to fix it by simply disabling the gabest avi splitter in ace mega codecs pack dashboard! I tried to disable it after spotting it being mentioned on the forums somewhere, posted by someone... Whoever you are, you're my hero! :mrgreen: Everything works perfectly now including the High Res patch and the D3d rendering! 8-)

anyone know what's wrong with mine?
I can get to the new game/continue screen i click on new and the screen goes blank. yes there is sound
