Title: Some Questions - I'm new to this :/

Hi all I'm new to this & found this site through a youtube video showcasing some mods for FF7 for the pc  8-)

I wondering if the patches/mods for FF7 PC would work with my version. It is the Eidos release  "platinum edition", Don't know if that makes it any better or worse than other versions.....but it should work right?

 And I was also wondering if these are the best out there or if there are some other neat or even better mods I should know about. Any cool ones that you use or like, I'd appreciate you filling me in on them  :wink:

In particular, I found the mod that replaces the once blocky & dated looking characters with better animated ones to be cool:

But I was wondering if it was possible to make it so that all the characters in the game were fixed like that, not just the main characters. I noticed the mod doesn't apply to all the people in the game:

Yeah, it should work with your version. I've read that there's nothing different in the Platinum Edition.

And about the link, nice, thanks! That is indeed what I was taking about.

But I noticed there were a lot of supposed bugs & problems with it, have they fixed that? What version is it as of now? Also saw that some of the mods I found to be cool (such as higher resolution) cannot be used if I use this Phoenix Rejuvenation mod. So I'm hoping this is an all-in-one ultimate package deal mod  :-D

Yeah, I have the Platinum Collection myself and I'm running pretty much all the mods excpet for the high resolution one with only the slightest of complaints.  Oh, and the music one, but damn, who CAN get that thing to work right?  But you should be in good shape as far as how much you can run.

I've been reading the thread on the PRP. Sounds like great stuff w/ the new save points and removed sword from cloud's back unlike the other mod I was going to use(I thought that was a good move, updated the character but not too much, keeping with the 'classic' Cloud)

I hope they get all the bugs fixed, that would be awesome! I'll be keeping up with that thread for sure. Thanks for your help, guys.

i ran thru the  entire game with the prp....yes there are some bugs but nothin that makes it unplayable
