Title: Strange FF7music problem
Post by: Mr. Fantastic on 2008-08-11 02:09:18
Hi folks!

Been a lurker for a while and now am having some trouble. I searched awhile and couldn't find any help so maybe this is a new problem.

I have FF7music working and its great. But I have a problem with it reading certain files (namely aseri and rhythm). I get a error message that says it is not a valid mpeg.

I was just hoping someone here could give me a hand. Thanks in advance.

actually mp3 stands for "mpeg audio layer 3" so maybe your mp3 file is of a non-standard format.

I'd recommend trying with another file just for a test in order to isolate if its the mp3 file or the program.

Thanks Marcis. I can't believe I didn't think of that.

Apparently some of the files I used had been altered somehow (they have been on my system awhile). I re-downloaded and everythings a charm now. I just have to wait til the problem shows up to fix the rest of the funky ones. :-D

I also seem to have a problem where FF7 Music will start working just fine in-game, and then after I get into a battle or something occasionally FF7 Music will crash and stop playing music, so the game becomes horridly silent. Anyone know how to fix this? I followed the installation and setup instructions to the letter, and I am using the PSF profile. I am running Windows XP 64-bit.
