hey guys! ive startet playing FF7 again, so i installed yamp, the xp patch, the hand patch, spell patch, and high ress patch, but now my game freezez after 10 mins of playing.
does ayone have a solution to this _ it would make me very happy!
-
First you say it crashes, then you say it freezes... make up your mind.
-
yeah i meant freeze im sorry i didnt really pay attention when i made the topic... but it freezes every 10 min, the music keeps playing and i it sounds like i move around in the menu
-
Downgrade video drivers to 163.75 or lower.
-
that sounds like a tedious solution, but i guess its the only way.. thanks!
edit: well i tried to search around for a guide to downgrade, but i couldnt find any, can anyone tell me how ? or show me a topic about?
thanks in advance

sorry double post

You double posted just to write double post?
To downgrade drivers, just uninstall the new ones, and install the old ones. Simple as.

i double posted then i edited and typed Double post...

Timestamps say the opposite.
What are your computer specs (CPU / GPU / OS)?

Where's the "This post was last edited at..."?

i actually dont know, but i tell you, thats what i did
-
Ok I believe you, mainly because I can't be bothered arguing, it's too late.
Did you actually try the old drivers then?
And the specs dzuigo asked for...?
-
oh yeah sorry i never told you, yes i got the driver and its working perfectly now ! even tho i still have the completely random crash after a battle bug, but i think i can cope, since there is no solution i think ? i havent found one at least :)
-
I also just noted you use the XP patch. Advice, uninstall it.
-
i get crashes like that I've applied lots of patches still don't work mine just randomly keeps crashing.

Hi Fenga,
Back catalogue of drivers
ATi
http://downloads.guru3d.com/Videocards---ATI-Catalyst-Windows-Vista_c31.html
Nvidia GeForce
http://downloads.guru3d.com/Videocards---NVIDIA-ForceWare-Vista_c32.html
At the bottom of each page you click "next page" to get to the older drivers
And yeah, don't use the XP patch, uninstall it, then install 1.02. If this doesnt sort it out, make a copy of your save folder (C:\Program Files\Square Soft, Inc\Final Fantasy VII\save) on your desktop, and simply re-install the game and put ur save folder back in the right place. Then just patch with 1.02 and whatever other custom patches u want.
I found these pages very useful when getting bugs in ff7
