Post by: Hermoor on 2009-02-21 23:38:14
Hello, is there a way to view or dump Final Fantasy IX models on the computer?

Also how do you open tmd files. Is there are converter?
I found a converter http://www.zophar.net/utilities/psxutil/tmd2lwo.html
EDIT: That converter didn't work >_>

I dont think there's a way, sadly...
Perhaps somebody could get the converter working...
...maybe you have an OS that it wasn't designed for. are you running vista? that could be the problem.

Right click the progaram and click 'Run as administrator'
If that doesn't work, right click it, Properties, Compatability, Run this program in compatibiility mode for: Windows XP (Servicre Pack 2), check Run as Administrator, Ok, try again.

I can build converter, but stuck on animating of skeleton (without animation skeleton is many non-directed vectors)

He meant that you'll be able to view the model, but no animation from FF IX

As for me, I don't think that i'll ever use FF IX mod for FF VII.I don't really like characters from there.

If somebody made model extractor for Ehrgeiz and FF VII bonus dics to use models from them in NPC mod.I think it will be more useful

Here is my topic about Bonus disc:
