It seems as though I have come to a stand still while trying to level up materia. I'm trying to get to level 99, I'm at around 70 with Barret, Cloud, and Cid. Some of my materia won't level up, and I don't know why. For about the last 4 or 5 hours of in game, my deathblow is stuck with 2 stars needing only 1230 experience to master it. I don't understand why it isn't attributed points after battles I fight. Is it because I'm in the Northern Crater? I also went to the Sunken Gelnika, and had the same luck. My characters level up, and the game runs just fine, but I'm stuck wondering why my materia has stopped, or at least slowed, leveling up. Any suggestions or input?

have you changed weapons ? maybe the weapon has no growth?

Haha, years ago I used to be like "wtf why hasn't my 2x cut upgraded yet!!", turns out all my stuff had no materia growth!!
Give cloud the Apocalypse, feed some elixirs to a few magic pots and you'll be there in no time!

Ya actually. I have the final weapons, so thats most likely it. Thanks a bunch! I guess i don't have enough intelligence to have checked that.

It's quite easy to miss, I only noticed it on my second major playthrough!

That did it.... I switched to Ragnarok, because I don't think I have heaven's cloud since I already had Ultima Weapon. So I downgraded everybody, i'll beat some Jenova ass and be done with it! lol
