Title: Rest In Peace Wayne Allwine: The VA For King Mickey

Just heard from kh2.co.uk that Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse, passed away yesterday at the age of 62 from complications of diabetes.

Not much in the news yet but Wikipdeia has updated their listing with the information of his passing.

What joy Wayne and his wife Russi, the voice of Minnie Mouse, have brought to children of all ages.

I never really loved Micky, but I cannot say I hated him. It was a strange kind of respect actually, a character portrayed with honest integrity.
I may not miss the guy, but he does deserve this moment of recognition for keeping Micky as the iconic cartoon character that he was, through his voice.
