Title: Window/Menu Gradient
Post by: mako7 on 2009-05-27 20:54:54
Hi, i recently decided to play FFVII again.
Thanks to all the hard work from many forum members, i was able to start and play FFVII on Vista. Everything went smoothly, but i ran into one problem.
The gradient in the text windows and the Menu has no transition at all. This looks awful IMO.

I know i can fix this by using the 32-bit Patch, but then the swirl and the movies are gone.
Is there another way or am i too greedy?

BTW, my GPU is a GF8800 GTS

Thanks for reading  :-)

Wow, thank you so much!

Actually, i read the thread in search for an solution, but i ignored it because i wasn't sure if it would help and a custom driver did sound suspicious.
But i could've tried it anyways, it works like a charm.

Now i can play FF PC in all it's glory.

Really, at this point, EVERYBODY should be using the custom graphics driver. It's superior to the included one in virtually every way imaginable.

I also vouch for the custom graphics driver, I had the same issue when I moved ff7 back to my desktop pc and voila the custom graphics driver fixed it.
