Title: FF7 - Insanely fast!
Post by: Chocobo on 2009-06-24 02:48:34
All the time when I'm walking, it's like... Really fast. Battle speed and everything else is set to max SLOW, but its still fast. (This includes walking and running on the world map, and Fort Condor... It's hard to do stuff now.)

Any suggestions/links to help fix this problem?

I assume you have a dual core CPU. Alt+Tab out of FF7, bring up Task Manager and set affinity of ff7.exe to only one core.

I did :
Ctrl + Alt + Delete (Task manager) and then click processes, right click ff7.exe and when I set affinity, it says:

"The Processor Affinity setting controls which CPUs the will process will be allowed to execute on."

I see two ticks in CPU 0 and CPU 1, the rest (up to CPU 31) are grayed out, unable to do anything else with them. I'm using windows XP (If that helps...)

So I un tick one of them? (I'm a computer noob.)

Uncheck CPU 1.

If that doesn't work for you, make sure you have the latest game patch (1.2) and latest video drivers installed.

Thanks Reaper and Terid. I guess this topic can now just be closed/forgotten.
