1.I have this small problem with my card. In the voice test option in windows xp, it says that my card cant play sounds but it works in everything else, anyone know of a fix? I did forget to unistall my live card drivers though.
2.What is legacy?

I don't know anything about XP.

But I believe Legacy is the SB16 emulator that SBLive has. It's so you can play Dos games with sound. If you don't play those old games, then disabling it is the best thing to do. It uses some resourses when it's on.....and most of the time it crashes when playing those old games, anyway.

SB16...... i still have a sound blaster pro :) anyway.... how is the 5.1 support?

Let's just hope he has a 5.1 speaker system, else it's useless. I have quadraphonic. I wanted 5.1... but now I want an 8 piece speaker system. (That's is almost identical to what they use in theaters!)

Yes I do have 5.1 speakers. Now back to my voice question.......

Since both the OS and the soundcard are new, I'd guess this is a wierd bug in the driver for WindowsXP.

As long as your sound card is working just fine with everything else, I wouldn't worry about it.

report it and it will probably be in creative's next patch for their software or a fix in the next driver release.
