Title: Can I make the Hi-Res patch work?
Post by: lost1010 on 2009-07-21 05:13:31
I have done a bit of reading but can't seem to find a fix for my problem. The FF VII Hi-Res patch only allows 2 resolutions and unfortunatly, my graphics card doesn't pump out those resolutions (although it has resolutions above that and around that).

So my questions is, would there be any way to make it work? Is there another res it would work on? Could I trick it? Could I get more resolutions somehow(I do have the latest drivers)?

Thanks, that was as good as a link :D

Still wondering if that will make the Hi-Res patch work. I'm not really sure what this is ATM.

Seems to work :D, It's randomly windowed but that is a good thing for me.

The custom graphics driver is an alternative to the hi-resolution patch. You shouldn't mix both. It will still work, but the hi-resolution patch is known to cause additional glitches that will persist.

i love the high res patch, however some things are glitchy. like ultima and shadowflare having a top left corner issue (there will be a white square occupying it) as well as some random issues like the backround turning white when its supposed to disappear

these things arent a big deal but they can be slightly annoying
