I have been around these ofrums for about a year... maybe a year and a half, and i have never understood the origins of this site.

why is it named qhimm?

does it stand for something?

was it originaly made for ff7 modding?

was qhimm (the person) the original maker?

so what is the whole backround info on this site?

I believe that qhimm's real name is Kim, or something along those lines (he's Swedish AFAIK).

Since I'm newer than you are I don't know exactly what it was like at the start, but I believe it has always been dedicated to playing around with the PC version of FF7 and other Square games and fixing problems.

Because qhimm wanted something that sounded like his name but wasn't (but did sound cool)?

And as for why FF7 in particular...

Dunno, maybe 'cos FF7PC had so many problems and there weren't many other people out there who were interested in fixing it.

Maybe you'll have to hope that qhimm himself answers this  :-D

It's because the forum that donated its database to this one wasn't the first one - and was indeed hosted and set up by SaiNt.
