Qhimm had a good point to psting that thread though. To many Sephiroths gets kind of annoying after a while...

I remember before I signed up and seen a guy called The Great Sephiroth and said "Wow very creative..." Then I went through Game Tweaking and seen like 5 other Sephiroths and said Holy.....Where did these guys come from!?

I saw that post some time ago.  Simply hilarious.  But I also feel just a little ashamed when I see it, because when I first registered, I nearly gave myself a Sephiroth-related name... but I thought the better of it.  I've found that I prefer not sharing my username with 22 other people, though it is still a Final Fantasy reference.

Three Great Sephiroths... now that is just priceless.  The Cult of Sephiroth is coming, people!

I think that the person named "Sehpiroth" in that chat wasn't an idiot. Well, unless one argues that he was an idiot for posting naughty links. Or for spelling his name wrong. Still, I think that there is some truth to what Corvarr says; having a Sephiroth-themed username is like having a special hat that reduces your IQ whilst you have it on. Kind of like the hat Professor Farnsworth's monkey had in the episode of Futurama where Fry drops out of Mars University, except the other way around, ya know?  :roll:

Androids could make for powerful allies, if we could get through to the program controlling them all.

In the meantime, while, we are fighting them, they have a weakness to lightning, so cast spells like Thundara.  Keep in mind that they are immune to poison and to gravity, so Bio and Demi are useless.

Some of the more advanced androids are capable of absorbing electricity without short-circuiting, which means that they absorb lightning spells.  These are special cases, and I'd recommend dealing with them using BAHAMUT ZERO!!!

(Knights of the Round is too cheapskate :-P)

Believe me already; many of the guest users are crawlers from search engines; some crawlers no doubt prefer the print-version of the thread, as it has less formatting on it.

Certainly the site itself would prefer the crawlers to use the print-versions, as they are much lighter on the bandwidth. It's not like search engine has any use for the graphics used in the regular layout.

It's almost certainly some kind of a browser caching issue; browser that is behaving in normal manner should request the file only once per page load.

If it did perform separate requests every time it came across the tag then you'd have different picture on each post, but that's not normal for browsers, and it would be highly stupid from technical standpoint; it would slow pageloads (all of them, not just the ones related to my avatar) to a crawl and stress the servers unnecessarily.

As far as the browser is concerned, there's only picture. It loads the picture, and uses it every time it gets referenced on a page. Even with caching working as it's supposed to work - regardless of how aggressive it is - you should still see only one avatar per page.

But whatever, it's not big deal if it wants to load moar cats. :-D
