After installing XP over Vista (by accident, of course :)), FF7 plays the movies at a horrible fps. I do have the movies installed on my hard drive at C:\games\Final Fantasy VII\movies\ of course :), and the registry key for the movies is the same directory. I'm not using the CDs (physically, I made ISO files instead, with the movies inside) at all so I think we can void the CD problem :P
Funny thing though, FF7 and FF8 ran perfectly in Vista. I have run FF7 in the past, but it too, was running in Vista. No mods besides FF7Music, which I have and haven't used to diagnose the problem. I can't find a frame limiter in the config (not that there really is much there.)
Well I think that should explain enough. Should anymore information be needed, do ask. :)
Hmm... There is one more thing: I'm running the game using a software renderer, no TnT hack or whatever that is.
Thanks, I guess...

get Aali's custom graphics driver from the tech related forums, set it up, run the reg file, and you'll be set
