Anyone else have a favorite anime?

I've seen Ghost in the Shell and a handful of others... but Elfen Lied is easily my favorite.

@Broken Cow
Hikaru no go got me into playing go again (I have since stooped cause the people I played with went to different school)

I always have a trouble choosing favourites. Moviewise it would be in between Princess Mononoke, GITS and Paprika. Show wise, RK OVA, Hellsing OVA, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop and GITS (the series) (FMA and FSN are close seconds :P)

Incidentally, I'm currently watching the anime version of Fate/Stay Night. The faces look a bit strange, especially the eyes, which have an Egyptian Pharaoh thing going on; this is especially noticeable in Saber, who looks much colder and angrier in the anime than in the VN. It also doesn't spend as much time on the day-to-day interactions between the characters (particularly those that happen in Shirou's kitchen), which is a shame, since the relationships between the characters was always more important (and more appealing) in the VN than the battles. I can only assume that this is thanks to time constraints or the belief that the anime needed to be fast moving.

I believe that the H-scenes are also taken out, which is unforgiveable :x

Nonetheless, it's pretty good. I'd give it a 4/5

I never made it throught Elfen Lied. I still have every intention to, because it seemed really good. But I started it right after watching Chobits (not recommending that one). And the fact that Nyuu only said "Nyuu", was too much to take after watching Chi who could only say "Chi".

But it did look good (the beginning was awesome).

I think my fav that I've seen so far is Ayashi no Ceres. The first ep was slow (and the heroine's eyes are way too big), but after that I loved it.

My second fav so far is Shikabane Hime. Absolutely AMAZING story. Terrible ending. I don't know if I should recommend it not. The story was interesting enough that I might even rewatch it.  But the ending... Just giving you fair warning in case you try it out. It's a great show and a great story, but don't expect a great finale. (Unlike Ayashi, which had the best ending I think I've seen in an anime - everything really tied up, etc.)

I can confirm that the H-scenes are taken out, I didn't even realize I was based of a H game until I looked it up after I had watched it.

Just as I thought, although I'd be careful about calling Fate/Stay Night an H-game (I think the H-scenes make up less than 1% of the game). I actually got it because I was under the impression that it was, and for the first time ever, I was pleased that something wasn't as pornographic as I thought it would be after playing it for a while and getting into the story. :lol:

Oh, there's something I forgot to mention: being animated is the best thing that ever happened to Taiga :-P

Oh yeah, I watched Chobits after Elfen Lied, and I really was getting annoyed at the "chi" all the time.

Anyone know of the anime where there's a little red head girl that turns into a fox?  There were some.... Kanon.  Kanon was good too.

Anyone else never really get into Gantz? I watched it, and it was a cool idea, it just bored me

Same for me with the Chi, its one of the reasons I never finished Chobits. And I watched around 1/2 of Ganrz then I just found it got repetitive, so I guess same as you.
