Title: Can't access materia, items or equipment

I'm about 30 or so hours into the game, and after the 'boss' battle encountered after picking up the HP<>MP materia in hardcore mode, I can't remove or add any materia from or to weapons (I get the buzzer sound if I try), and all materia not equipped to weapons or armor is now missing.  Also in the menu, 'item' and 'limit' are now grayed out for some reason, and I also can't switch out weapons or armor anymore, again I get the buzzer sound.  For the life of me I can't figure out if I've made some weird mistake, or if I'm just missing something obvious.  If anyone has run into this before or heard of a similar problem, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Wow. I have never heard of this problem happening before. First thing's first, you have the the original copy for PC right?

Yep, the original.  And thanks for replying so quickly.  I'm not sure what info to give about concerning the game that might help out.

We also need to know which hardcore mod you're using. If it's gjoerulv's, then make a post in his thread, since this might be a bug

I'm pretty sure it is gjoerulv's hardcore mod because isn't he the only one that inputs bosses in order to obtain certain materia? And if it is his, did you put the updated kernel and scene (is it?) files?

Yep, it's his hardcore mode, and I switched to the new scene and kernel files probably about a week ago after running into the unbeatable phoenix issue.  I was sending him a message a bit ago about it, and he suggested loading up another save to see if I still couldn't get it to work, there doesn't seem to be a problem with the older saves.
