Title: New Skin, Different Methods..

Hey there.. Why can't I upload my own pictures here? It says that the attachement was blah blah blah..
And when i write my signature, theres only 1 character left.. so i can only write one letter..
and also, where can i find the pictures provided by this forum? I can't seem to find them anymore..

Not sure about the rest, but signatures have been one character ras long as i can remember.

...because for some bizarre reason SMF won't let one turn signatures off entirely. Thus they are limited to one character. The idea was that the content is king - no need for HUEG fields of text or massive banners to distract people.

Attachment are off for security reasons, and probably for bandwidth reasons as well. Have always been. You can always host elsewhere, if you need.

Pictures? You mean avatars? They are not working? ...I guess the upgrade might have broken them.

Definitely - I updated my avatar through the stock pictures available before the upgrade - right now the selection has gone missing.

I havent been able to have a picture as my avatar for years, it randomly disappeared :?

Hmph. I see. I'll ask Qhimm about the avatars and what happened to them.

As for self hosted avatars; while the upgrade and database cleaning might have removed the link, can't you just input the URL again in your profile? Or does it not work?
