Hello everyone,
I just remembered, i attempted, one year ago, to remake "Nightmare begins" aka Vincent's theme. I just discovered this board, and, i though it was a pretty good idea to share it with everyone around (finally i found a place to put it).
So this is a free attempt, made on Linux, with LMMS and free VSTI instruments. I wasn't able to afford a full set of professional VST. So the guitar sound is far from being perfect, but i think it doesn't sound so bad.
So i share it with everyone. Feel free to comment / use / share it with everyone. And please keep in mind : I'm not a professional, I don't own a studio, and I'm not a great musician. It's just a fan made song. This song has not been ripped : it's a full start from scratch.
Finally, don't ask me to improve it, modify it, my installation messed up : i made this one year ago.
Thanks, and enjoy ;)

sounds great! my only qualm is that the longer notes cut off too quickly, fading them out might be nicer
EDIT: srry missed the part about yer not modifying it

Sound: great!
Wav: not so great! Why didn't you use a high bitrate MP3 or OGG?

"The Nightmare's Beginning" is my fav song on the FFVII soundtrack, and yours is an excellent remake. I've always wanted to hear a version recorded with a classical (spanish) guitar, though.
Thanks for sharing!

I love this track! I wish to learn how to play it.
This track you have modified is excellent!

Thanks everyone,
I'm pretty sure, one day, if i have too much free time to spare, i will reinstall LMMS & stuff, and make some other tracks (and why not, remaking this one with better instruments).
Sound: great!
Wav: not so great! Why didn't you use a high bitrate MP3 or OGG?
Because they are both meant to compress while losing quality. You can always encode a file into those format, but once you did it, there's no turning back : there's no way to get the original quality back. And i think it's better to share it with the best quality and let everyone encoding it with their favourite codec.
I know i could encode it into FLAC, but there's not much weight difference between that format & wav, and moreover, who's using FLAC here? :D

...woow, nice :o
This is pretty much a perfect remake of this song, very close to the original ;D
Also, as far as I know, .wav is the best quality format for audio since I think it's totally lossless
I've always wanted to hear a version recorded with a classical (spanish) guitar, though.

I actually learned this song on guitar myself a while ago, but this guy seems to play it differently to me.
